Whether you’re visiting the Capital Region for business or pleasure, a Skidmore function, or a personal trip, we invite you to stop by and say hello.The Office of Alumni Relations & College Events is located in the Colton Alumni Welcome Center, on North Broadway across from the main entrance to the campus and next to the Surrey-Williamson Inn. Check your email in our lounge, surf the Web, peruse yearbooks, find current campus maps and information, and ask questions. You can also ask one of our helpful staff members if you need assistance printing boarding passes or calling for a taxi.

Williamson Sports Center

Alumni can obtain a pass at no charge to the Williamson Sports and Recreation Center from the Office of Alumni Relations & College Events. Access to the facility is available Monday-Friday after 4 p.m. and during hours of operation on Saturday and Sunday. Privileges to use the facility are only granted to the alumna/us. Come to the Office of Alumni Relations in Colton House or call 518-580-5610.

Alumni can take advantage of the College's Bikemore program.  Bicycles are available for alumni, students, and staff to use free of charge for 24 hours on campus or in downtown Saratoga Springs. 




Alumni can use the Scribner Library and check out up to ten items provided they obtain a courtesy card (no charge) upon entering the library. For more information, phone Scribner Circulation Desk at 518-580-5502.

JSTOR provides online access to the back issues of a multidisciplinary array of journals. Coverage includes the arts and humanities; the social and political sciences; mathematics and the hard sciences; and business and economics.

Project Muse

Project MUSE, is a leading provider of digital humanities and social sciences content. Since 1995, its electronic journal collections have supported a wide array of research needs at academic, public, special, and school libraries worldwide. MUSE currently includes: 324,048 articles and 639,480 chapters by 241 publishers.


Skidmore yearbooks from a range of class years are now available in archive-quality digital format.  These downloadable yearbooks may be searched by alumni and staff names. Note: class yearbooks become available as they are scanned and digitized.

Alumni can audit courses provided they obtain the permission of the instructor and formally register with the Registrar. They must pay a registration fee of $25.00 as well as an audit fee of $25.00. Courses in dance, theater or art which have technical components are more expensive with audit fees approximately $400.00.

The Skidmore Business Network (SBN) is an initiative driven by alumni for alumni – SBN gives Skidmore alumni working in business-related professions a proactive and efficient way to connect and network with one another.  There are currently five regional chapters of SBN in New York City, Boston, New Haven, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Skidmore Visual Arts Network 

The Skidmore Visual Arts Network (SVAN) works to foster a sense of community and intellectual camaraderie among those whose interests or professions focus on the visual arts, including alumni, students, parents, faculty and friends. SVAN is envisioned as network to facilitate connections among all members of the greater Skidmore community working or studying in the broad visual arts arena.

Locating a reputable business or professional service isn't always easy, unless you can rely on a good tip from a friend or colleague.  So why not do business with a name you know?  The Green & Yellow Pages (GYP) is your guide to businesses and service providers who are Skidmore alumni and parents. 

Skidmore Regional Programming is a great way to connect with Skidmore where you live.  Events are concentrated in over 20 key areas across the country. The Skidmore College Alumni Travel Program is your ticket to the world!  Think of Skidmore first when you’re planning a vacation to some of the most exciting and interesting places in the world.  Our first class travel program has been around since 2006, and we plan to build on our current success. To date, the program has touched down on every continent. Planning an event with other Skidmore alumni?  Let Skidmore To Go help make it special!  We willprovide the resources you need to make your alumni event a success.  Contents include Skidmore nametags, Skidmore cocktail napkins, a paper Skidmore banner, favors for your guests, and a special gift for you! All you need to do is tell us a little bit about your event, and  we will send your Skidmore To Go box out to you by mail. (NOTE: please allow at least 3 weeks for your box to arrive.)


Discounts on Saratoga Springs Hotel and Motel Rates

We invite Skidmore alumni and current parents to take advantage of lodging discounts during the academic year. Rules for obtaining the listed rates below are:

  • Advance reservations are required – walk-ins will not be offered these rates.
  • Special event weekends are not included (i.e., Celebration Weekend, Commencement, Reunion etc.).
  • To obtain these rates, you must present an eligibility form when you check in. Contact the staff members below to obtain this form:

Best Western Park Inn ( 800-813-9559. Rates for Skidmore parents and alumni would be eligible for a Manager's special rate which would be 15% off of regular rates. This discount does not apply during the summer period (April 24th - Labor Day) or on special weekends.

Courtyard by Marriott Saratoga Springs & Excelsior Springs ( 518-226-0538. Parents and alumni get 10% off rack rate. Parents and alumni should contact the hotel directly and identify themselves as such when calling to ensure they will receive the rate. Rate is available January - December 31, 2017. Not available on Celebration Weekend, Graduation Weekend or Reunion Weekend.

Geyser Lodge Bed & Breakfast ( 518-584-0389. Our Adirondack Lodge style Bed & Breakfast was built in 1896 and was operated as a lodge in the early 1900's. We are happy to continue this tradition by brining a taste of the Adirondack to downtown Saratoga Springs. During the school year our rooms start at $119 and suites at $149. Enjoy the full gourmet breakfast included with your stay that is prepared by the Lodge's owner Tara who is a Culinary Institute of America gaduate with over 30 years experience. Visiting students, parents, faculty, and alumni should identify themselves to receive a 10% discount. Students of visiting parents are always welcome to join us for breakfast at no additional charge.
