We’re looking forward to joining you on campus at Reunion 2024 to celebrate our milestone 50th Reunion from May 30 – June 2! Be sure to register by April 16 to receive the Early Bird Discount (a savings of $50) and to secure your on-campus housing reservation by April 26. The final Reunion Registration Deadline is May 13. Our Class of 1974 programming highlights include:
Thursday
- Opening of our “Home Base” Hospitality Suite on Thursday afternoon, followed by the All-Class Welcome Party at Case Center at 5:00 pm
- Gourmet Picnic Dinner in the Stone Courtyard of the Surrey-Williamson Inn
Friday
- Start the day on Friday with a special Class of 1974 guided bus tour of Saratoga Springs and the old campus
- Reception and dinner with President Marc C. Conner and his wife, Barbara Reyes-Conner, at the National Museum of Racing
- Saturday
- Parade of Classes proceeds (complete with bagpipes) into the Alumni Awards & Recognition Ceremony, followed by the All-Class Picnic
- President’s Hour (2:30 pm) will be an opportunity for us to hear directly from President Conner about the State of the College, with time for Q&A
- Before dinner, a Class of 1974 Photo at Thomas Amphitheater (outside of Zankel Music Center; inside if raining)
- 50th Reunion Celebration Dinner at Scribner House (the former home of Skidmore’s founder, Lucy Skidmore Scribner, and the current home of Skidmore’s President), followed by fireworks, music and dancing
Sunday
- Special Class of 1974 breakfast upstairs in the Dining Hall on Sunday morning
- All-Class Memorial Service at the Alumni Memorial Garden behind the Surrey-Williamson Inn, to remember those we have lost since our last Reunion.
All Weekend
- Mini-college classes are offered throughout the day on Friday and Saturday
- The Frances Young Tang ’61 Teaching Museum and Art Gallery will be open all weekend, showcasing the Alumni Art Show
It will be wonderful to come together to honor our classmates, Susan Elliott, who will receive the Distinguished Achievement Award, and Denise Marcil, who will receive the 50th Reunion Service Award on Saturday morning in the beautiful Helen Filene Ladd Concert Hall of the Zankel Music Center. Let’s show our pride for Susan and Denise for their many accomplishments and decades of distinguished achievement and service.
There will be opportunities to tour the new and renovated buildings on campus, including the new McCaffery-Wagman Tennis & Wellness Center (combining the Williamson Sports Center complex into the new design) and the Billie Tisch ’48 Center for Integrated Sciences (combining Old Dana into the new structure). The “Pioneers in Science” Nursing display has been reinstated along the gallery wall of Old Dana and Nursing majors will gather there for the All-Class Nursing reception on Saturday afternoon. Both spaces are incredible additions to the campus and benefit the entire campus community.
